The hunt for the Polaroid Camera
Got a riddle for you, how long does it take to find a Polaroid camera in new york city on new years day....
The answer is: you can't find it even if you look all day.
Recently I just wanted a polaroid camera and yesterday I set out to find it. I went to the first obvious place, the store that has everything for your photo needs, B and H, they didn't have it. Went to the JnR in Macy's, then to a place called camera world, to RadioShack to KB Toys (I was getting desparate and figured it might be in a kids toy store) and I went up to Toys R Us on 42nd, nope. All other stores where closed and I had to give up and just go see Beowolf in 3D which was my first 3D movie and I gotta say was pretty impressive, even though the movie itself wasn't something I would go see twice.
So the polaroid hunt continues...
OK so i checked out Adorama today :Nope, K and M, not there either. Lastly I gave it one last shot at the big J and R downtown, and again had to leave with disappointment. So i pretty much gave up and was on my way home and passed by Duane Reade when I thought to myself, I know its not going to be here but let me give it a shot. And guess what, THEY HAD IT. I couldn't believe that i had looked all over the city for one of these and all i had to do was walk to the corner Duane Reade.
So now that I have this....Polaroid pix to come soon!

Happy New Year!
As you can probably guess from flipping though my site, 2007 has been a slow year for me photographically. Working on Vane and really trying to perfect it has taken away from taking pictures. All good, I have a lot of plans for 2008, one of them being updating this blog more often, so be prepared for random photos, stories, nonsense etc also this year instead of working on long Doc projects I will be focusing a lot more on individual and group portraits. So if you would like to be photographed, shoot me an email with any ideas and your availability.if I were to pick my fav photo that I have taken all year, it would be this one
